IASPEI/IAVCEI Joint Commission on Volcano Seismology
Dr. Philippe Jousset

Researcher in Volcano-Geophysics (microgravity, deformation, volcano-seismology) at the Deutsches GeoForschungsZentrum, Potsdam, Germany

Philippe Jousset

Dr. P. Jousset graduated at the ENSG, Nancy, France (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie). He obtained his Ph.D. at the Institut de Physique du Globe of Paris in 1996. He has more than 15 years worldwide experience in volcanological research in Indonesia (Merapi volcano), Japan (Hokkaido volcanoes) and Montserrat (West indies) . His main specialities are microgravity, deformation and volcano-seismology.

At BRGM since 2003, he is involved in the understanding of broadband seismological signals in natural hydrothermal systems in France (French Antilles), New-Zealand (collaboration GNS) and exploited hydrothermal systems in Iceland (collaboration ISOR/GFZ). He is deeply involved in the
